Porcelain Inlay/Onlays – Case 1

The above patient had not been to a dentist in quite some time, and so when she presented to our practice, it was not surprising to find that a number of her teeth had deep decay, which it was critical to remove as soon as possible. Like so many patients of our practice today, she was a heavy grinder and so replacement with composite resin was not an advisable solution. Removing this decay and placing a ceramic restoration was the most advisable long term solution, and the patient readily agreed. In only two appointments, the patient’s teeth were restored to a result almost identical to an untouched tooth – with greater strength and aesthetics than a direct resin restoration.
