Implant Retained Over Dentures – Case 1

Mr C was a lovely retiree who was at the time in life when it was necessary to address his failing teeth. He had unfortunately over the years been subjected to some less than ideal reconstructive treatment, and active decay was present. He would, in time, benefit from full implant bridges, however in order to complete the treatment without the need for full removable dentures, only teeth with an absolutely hopeless prognosis were originally removed, and temporary tooth supported bridges used.

Only once a healing period occurred, and good bone support established, were the remaining teeth removed, implants placed and replacement teeth attached to these implants – in a minimal amount of time. This meant for Mr C, that he was at no point with anything removable in his mouth – a fact which he greatly appreciated.

With his removable over-dentures, retained by the implants, he finds hygiene maintenance and cleaning a breeze, and now looks forward to many years of minimal dental needs.
